About Worldcitisim

Travel eSIM built by a hotel owner, not a tech company

Worldcitisim provides eSIM mobile data for international travelers in 190+ countries. You set up your eSIM before you fly. You land, and you are online. No SIM card stores, no roaming fees, no wasted time.

The difference? This was built by someone who lives the problem — not by a tech team who spotted a market trend.

The founder

Isabella Liebgott. Swedish, based in Spain. Ran a boutique hotel in Colombia for seven years.

Before the hotel, I worked in the telecom industry in Sweden — selling SIM cards and mobile plans at Telenor, learning how people actually use their phones when they travel. After that I moved to Amsterdam and worked as a travel advisor, sorting out emergencies for travelers: canceled flights, lost bookings, panicked phone calls at all hours.

Then came the hotel. Seven years in the Colombian jungle, watching guests arrive every day without internet — struggling with maps, bookings, and just texting home that they arrived safe.

Worldcitisim was built at the intersection of all of it — telecom, travel, hospitality, and the simple idea that nobody should waste the first hour of their trip trying to get online.

How eSIM works

  1. Pick a data plan for your destination
  2. Set up the eSIM on your phone — takes about two minutes
  3. Land and you are connected

Works in 190+ countries. Plans start at EUR 2.59. Your regular phone number stays active for calls and texts. You can share your data as a hotspot. And if something goes wrong, real people answer — not a chatbot.

For hotels and hospitality businesses

Worldcitisim works with hotels, hostels, and travel businesses to offer eSIM mobile data as a guest amenity.

Here is what that looks like:

  • 5-minute setup — we send you a QR code and a pre-arrival email template for your guests
  • Commission on every activation — your recommendation earns revenue, paid monthly
  • Better guest experience — guests arrive connected instead of spending their first hour looking for a SIM card store
  • Nothing to install — no app, no hardware, no extra work for your staff. Guests scan a QR code and they are online

Most eSIM companies target travelers through ads and influencers. We work directly with the places travelers already trust: their hotel.

I built this because I spent seven years answering “what is the WiFi password?” fifteen times a day. If you run a property and want to give your guests one less thing to worry about, reach out. I am the one who answers.
